Afternoon Tea

My gorgeous Nana turned 70 on Saturday 22nd July. As a Birthday present, my Mom paid for us all to go for afternoon tea at the 'Ramada Park Hall Hotel & Spa'.

All four of us (me, my Mom, Nanna and Sister) all spent a lovely Tuesday afternoon getting served with divine treats freshly made. As a person who does not like hot drinks (tea and coffee especially!!) I was concerned I wouldn't enjoy myself, but it was so lovely, and I had such a great time with some of the people I love most.

Afternoon tea kicked off with a selection of beautifully presented sandwiches. We had the choice between 'Ham & Tomato', 'Cheese & Tomato' and 'Tuna & Cucumber'. All sandwhiches were so small and cute, and we ended up demolishing all of them (my 9-year-old sister eating the most out of us all!).

We then had a choice between some of the nicest deserts I have ever had. Profiteroles with pistachio, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate brownie (a personal FAVE), victoria sponge cake and scones with fresh cream and jam.

There was no way that we could eat all of the gorgeous sweet treats, and we were all so full; so we brought back some goodies for my Dad who particularly appreciated the brownie!

The food wasn't the only beautiful part of the tea... The room we were in - 'The Orangery' - was stunning, with a beautiful view of the grassy court.

I absolutely loved the experience, and so did my Nana most importantly, and I think that the whole idea of buying the tea as a present was adorable, and something I would totally recommend!

Thanks for reading...
